1. What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains how Halal Terminal (the website at api.halalterminal.com, including the landing page, dashboard, subscribe flow, blog, API reference, and MCP server documentation) uses cookies and similar browser-storage technologies. Read it together with our Privacy Policy.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a site stores on your device when you visit it. "Local storage" and "session storage" are similar mechanisms built into your browser. We use the term "cookies" loosely below to cover all of these.
3. Cookies and storage we set
Strictly necessary. These keep core features working — for example, remembering that you have signed in to the dashboard or that you have dismissed a banner. They cannot be turned off without breaking the site.
ht_api_key(browser local storage): stores your API key locally so you do not have to paste it on every dashboard visit. Never sent to any third party.ht_session(browser session storage): short-lived UI state for the dashboard, cleared when you close the tab.ht_consent(browser local storage): records your cookie-banner choice so we do not show it again.
Analytics (cookieless). We use Plausible Analytics to count page views and roughly understand which pages are useful. Plausible is GDPR-, CCPA-, and PECR-compliant by design and does not set cookies or collect personal data. No tracking ID is generated.
Payment processing. When you subscribe, we redirect you to Stripe's hosted checkout. Stripe sets its own cookies on its own domain to operate the checkout and detect fraud. We do not see or control those cookies. Their use is governed by Stripe's Cookie Policy.
4. Cookies we do not set
We do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Facebook Pixel, advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or fingerprinting on this site.
5. Managing your cookies
You can control or clear cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings:
Clearing the strictly-necessary items above will sign you out of the dashboard and require you to enter your API key again — the site will keep working otherwise.
6. Your privacy rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, California, or another jurisdiction with comparable rules, you have the right to access, correct, port, restrict, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to its processing. 7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as we add or remove tools. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, communicated via the dashboard or by email.
